Red Cross Partners with City of Cape Town for International Children's Day

31 May 2010

Wally 107, the big, blue telephone handset mascot for the City of Cape Town's emergency services, entertained patients, parents and staff at Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital on International Children's Day, June 1, 2010. Wally and his friends from Metro Police, Fire and Life Safety, Air Quality and Environmental Resource Management spoke to the children about safety rules and who to call when they needed help. The children were treated to a puppet show, goodie bags and small gifts.
