New Somerset Hospital to Lay a Cornerstone Celebrating 150 Years of Existence

16 August 2009

18 August 2009 marks the laying of the Cornerstone of the Western Cape Department of Health's New Somerset Hospital. Celebrating 150 years of service excellence and the upliftment of basic and equal quality healthcare for all, the hospital plans to commemorate its anniversary through the unveiling of a Cornerstone by Health MEC Theuns Botha.

Despite the many other milestones accomplished by the hospital, this event commemorates the power and heart of a South Africa who once fought for the very health and medical privileges we have today.

Venue: Foyer, North Block, New Somerset Hospital
