Media Alert: Launch of the SurgiBank Electronic Emergency Surgery Triage System

Groote Schuur Hospital will launch a new first for South Africa when they introduce the first electronic system to display colour coded surgical emergency cases by their clinical urgency. The SurgiBank Electronic Emergency Surgery Triage system will also collect, store and manage data about these cases. Conceptualisation , development and implementation of the system has occurred under the auspices of the Groote Schuur Hospital Department of Anaesthetics .
