Media Alert: New Somerset Hospital Launches New Computerised Tomography Scanner

Patients attending New Somerset Hospital will continue to benefit from the legacy left behind by the 2010 FIFA World Cup as the hospital's Computerised Tomography (CT) Scanner will officially be opened by the Minister for Health in the Western Cape, Mr Theuns Botha.

During the last decade, radiology imaging has undergone a revolution with extraordinary developments in CT scanners. The quality, clarity and detail provided by multi-detector CT scanners have facilitated patient care and has allowed for prompt and accurate clinical management decisions.
