Media Alert: Recreation Room Opens at Groote Schuur Hospital

Groote Schuur Hospital has upgraded the Radiation Oncology ward a Family Recreation room which has a very important functional purposes for patients. This upgrade is additional to other upgrades in the ward which include bathrooms and photos. The staff will be having the official opening of the Family Recreation room on 18 February 2011 at 11:00.

During 2010, 6 481 patients ranging from as far afield as Piketberg, George, Vredenburg and Saldanha were treated in the Radiation Oncology ward.
