Not gotten your vaccine yet? The Vooma Vaccination Weekend makes it easy!
We know there are many people who want to be vaccinated against COVID-19 but have not had the time to go to a vaccination or pop-up site due to other commitments. In making it easier for everyone to be vaccinated, the Vooma Vaccination Weekend will see 100 sites open across the province this weekend (13-14 November).
The COVID-19 vaccines have been shown to be very effective in preventing severe illness and death. It is important to get vaccinated against COVID-19 so that you may be protected in time before the next wave of COVID-19.
Everyone aged 12 years and older can take up the opportunity to be vaccinated. As an added incentive - people who are 60 years and older and going for their first dose vaccination during November 2021, will receive a Vooma vaccination voucher valued at R100 via SMS, which they can spend within 30 days at any Shoprite, Checkers or U-Save store. (Available on a first-come-first served basis)
On Saturday, 13 November there will be 66 sites open across the province and on Sunday, 14 November, the public will have access to a further 34 sites. Let’s make these 100 sites count, let’s go and get vaccinated so we are protected. (Sites can also be viewed on https://www.facebook.com/WCGHealth)
Let us all be part of a collective voice, join the 2,4 million people in the Western Cape who have already been vaccinated – almost 2 million have already been fully vaccinated! They are saving their summer, there are looking forward to the Festive Season – you can as well by being vaccinated and in doing so, being protected against severe illness and death.
Let us all get vaccinated to save our summer, save lives and look forward to a safer 2022!
