Media Alert: Three Red Cross Hospital Employees to Receive Awards for 40 Years of Service

Almost 60 employees of Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital will receive awards for prolonged years of service to the Western Cape Department of Health. Three of the 56 awardees will be awarded for 40 years of service. Seventeen will receive 30-year service awards, 11 will receive 20-year service awards and 25 will be awarded for 20 years of service to the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital.

Among others, Western Cape Minister of Health, Theuns Botha, will award:

  • Jeffery Isaacs of Mitchell's Plain, 65 years old, who spent his entire working life at Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital.
  • Nurse Shirley Adams of Mitchell's Plain, who works in the Burns unit.
  • Nurse Martha Brink of Rondebosch, chief professional nurse and specialist paediatric nurse in the cardiac ward.
