Media Alert: Opening of New Kwanokuthula EMS Station

The Western Cape Minister of Health, Theuns Botha, and Western Cape Minister of Transport and Public Works, Robin Carlisle, will officially open the new Kwanokuthula Emergency Medical Service (EMS) station in the Bitou district on 3 October 2011.

The Kwanokuthula EMS station is one of five new EMS stations and was built to increase emergency medical service infrastructure and to meet the community's necessity for transport to health facilities in the area. The facility will service a population of approximately 60 000 people of the Bitou district, covering the Harkerville, Kranshoek, Wittedrift, New Horizons, Kwanokuthula, Bossiesgif, Welcome Location, The Crags, Covie and the Natures Valley communities. Emergency medical services will be available to the public 24/7.
