Media Alert: Hanover Park CHC Extends Operating Hours

Hanover Park Community Health Centre will offer family planning and cervical/pap smear services during extended hours on Wednesdays, Thursdays and every third Saturday of the month. In keeping with the package of care, the service will very soon after be offered daily and every Saturday. An announcement will be made when the full service package is available.

The service includes insertion of Intrauterine Contraceptive Devices (IUCDs), injectable and oral contraception, barrier methods (male and female condoms) as well as assessment and referral for sterilisations. Also offered by the clinic are HIV and AIDS testing, breast examinations and cervical smears. Adolescents are welcome.

The facility's eye care service, which includes eye screening for spectacles, glaucoma, cataracts and diabetic retinal screening, is strictly by appointment only. Interested and eligible patients are asked to make an appointment at the help desk for a scheduled date.
