EMS Alert: 29 Children Injured in Minibus Accident

The Western Cape Government Health's Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene of a minibus accident.

At 14:27 at Observatory Railway station, 29 children, all under the age of 12, were injured after the minibus they were travelling in went through the barrier and crashed onto the railway tracks.

No train was involved in the accident.

Fourteen of the children, each with minor injuries, were transported by EMS to the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital, Groote Schuur Hospital, Vanguard Community Health Centre (CHC) and Hanover Park CHC respectively.
