EMS Alert: Motor Vehicle Accident on Main Road, Hout Bay
The Western Cape Health: Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a motor vehicle accident earlier today.
At 09:05 on Main Road, Hout Bay - EMS Rescuers and Practitioners treated and transported 17 patients on the scene of a side collision between a minibus taxi and car.
- One adult male and one adult female were coded critical after they sustained serious abdominal wounds and multiple fractures.
- Four adult females were coded serious, mostly complaining of back pain.
- Eleven adults, ten females and one male sustained minor injuries of bruises, lacerations and abrasions.
Patients were transported to Groote Schuur, Victoria and Constantia Berg hospitals and Retreat Community Health Clinic (CHC) by EMS and ER24 ambulances.
EMS is currently on the scene of another motor vehicle accident in Cape Town, CBD.
