Amaphela Operations to be Legalised and Regulated

The Department of Transport and Public Works and the City of Cape Town have embarked on a joint venture to legalise and regulate the Amaphela operations operating in the townships in Cape Town.

Phase 1 of this project will see the first 100 decision letters handed over to the successful applicants at an official ceremony on 2 April 2013 at the Gugulethu Sports Complex.

Robin Carlisle, Minister of Transport and Public Works will be presiding over the handing over of the decision letters to the recipients.
