Integrated Public Transport and One Timetable for Public Transport in the City

Robin Carlisle, Minister of Transport and Public Works will brief the media on 13 November 2012 on the integration of public transport in the city and the vital role a single timetable plays in achieving integration and accessibility for the millions of commuters that use public transport on a daily basis.

Minister Carlisle will be joined by the following representatives from the public transport industry at 9 Dorp Street:

  • Golden Arrow Bus Services.
  • Metrorail
  • MyCiti
  • UCT Jammie Shuttle.
  • Mini-bus taxi industry.

The Cape Town founders of WhereIsMyTransport, Devin de Vries and Chris King, will also be presenting FindMyWay (www.findmyway.mobi). This is a free public service website, designed to make the lives of commuting Capetonians easier by enabling access to all modes of public transport information from their cellular phones. The site currently contains information pertaining to Golden Arrow Bus Services, Metrorail, MyCiti and UCT Jammie Shuttles.
