Work Integrated Learning at the Department of Transport and Public Works

The Human Resources Development Team recently completed a bi-annual practical session during which students currently involved in work integrated training with the Department of Transport and Public Works presented their work completed in the first semester of the year. This event focused on content and quality of training offered on various projects throughout the Western Cape.

The programme currently accommodates 14 students doing human resources management and supportive administrative courses, as well as 66 technical students in the various engineering and built environment disciplines. The programme also caters for students with departmental bursaries who are required to do their internship during their vacations.
