Minister Madikizela to launch Easter Road Safety Plan

As part of Western Cape Government’s COVID-19 awareness and road safety enforcement campaign, the Western Cape Transport and Public Works Minister, Bonginkosi Madikizela, will tomorrow, Wednesday 31 March 2021, launch the provincial road safety plan that will be implemented over the Easter long weekend.

During the launch, Minister Madikizela will share structured Traffic Law Enforcement interventions together with effective road safety education, communication and awareness programmes aimed at positively influencing all road users to behave responsibly while using the road network during the crucial 2021 Easter festivities.

The Minister will also use the opportunity to encourage travellers to follow the Covid-19 golden rules of hygiene for keeping safe and to ensure operators and public transport passengers comply with Alert Level 1 regulations.
