The R341 road (TR 88) will be subject to stop/ go traffic controls between De Rust (km 0.0) and Uniondale (km 22.0), between 1 August 2018 and 15 March 2019.

This roadworks contract was awarded to WTW Civil(Pty) Ltd in July 2018. The contract period is approximately eight months, including public holidays and the year-end break.

The completion date is therefore March 2019.

Traffic will use the existing road or temporary deviations. In most instances, signalised one-way traffic will be necessary. It is a provision of the contract that traffic must be accommodated with the least delay and discomfort to the public. No full road closures will be allowed.

The safety and convenience of the travelling public are of utmost importance and every effort will be made to ensure that all temporary road signs, cones, flag operators and speed controls are maintained and are effective, and that courtesy is extended to the public at all times.

The contractor is required to make use of approved methods to control the movement of his equipment and vehicles so as not to constitute a hazard on public roads.

The public is requested to be patient and exercise caution when using this road while it is under construction.
