Possible heavy congestion due to roadworks on the N1

Possible heavy traffic congestion is expected on 4 and 5 May, and from 7 to 11 May on the N1.

The following lanes will be closed on the N1 for various roadworks operations which may cause heavy traffic congestion:

Friday, 4 May 2018

1. Inbound fast lane closure for road resurfacing operations in the fast lane between Plattekloof & Jip De Jager - one lane closed from 9am to 7pm
2. Inbound fast lane closure for road marking operations after the Durban Road Inbound On-Ramp to Jip De Jager - one lane closed from 9am to 7pm
3. Inbound fast lane closure for N1 3rd lane construction between Old Oak and the Durban Road Inbound Off-Ramp - one lane closed from 9am to 7pm
4. Outbound fast lane closure for road resurfacing operations between Plattekloof and Jip De Jager - One lane closed from 9am to 3pm
5. Outbound auxiliary lane closure for road resurfacing operations between Plattekloof and Jip De Jager - one lane closed from 9am to 3pm
6. Outbound slow lane Durban Road Off-ramp for the removal of barriers - one lane closed from 9am to 3pm

The outbound resurfacing closures will not run simultaneously.
