Learners Flock to Youth in Construction Exhibition

Exhibitors welcomed the first group of learners to the 2012 Youth in Construction Exhibition at the Good Hope Centre on 13 August 2012.

Grade 8 to 11 learners from various schools and colleges around the Western Cape will be attending the week-long event which aims to expose learners to the different construction career fields.

During the week, staff members from the Department of Transport and Public Works will be on hand to guide learners on different skills development programmes including Masakh'iSizwe, the National Youth Service (NYS), Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) and the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).
