Transport Deputy Minister visits Gugulethu for transport Imbizo

The Deputy Minister of Transport Ms Sindisiwe Chikunga will host a Transport Imbizo in Gugulethu on Friday, 18 November 2016.  

Since rail is the most preferred mode of transport for communities in the province, one of the key focus areas of the Imbizo will be rail safety.

In recent months the Western Cape province has experienced countless acts of vandalism and security related incidents which endangered the lives of commuters and the public.

The Imbizo will therefore provide a platform for the Deputy Minister to engage communities and stakeholders on the challenges experienced by the transport industry and how to solve them.
