Women’s Month traffic safety activity in Brackenfell

12 August 2016

Women traffic officers from Brackenfell Traffic Centre are committed to making their contribution to road safety and to public safety more generally. On 12 August 2016, they worked with their female and male counterparts from the South African Police Service in Brackenfell to conduct a multi-disciplinary crime prevention operation which entailed search operations and visible law enforcement.

A planned roadblock operation led by female officers had to be postponed. Similar events to celebrate Women’s Month have already taken place in Hermanus, Caledon and Vredenburg.

Women play a vital role in all aspects of South African life. This month they have again showed us that they excel in all aspects of road traffic law enforcement to make our roads safer.
