Media alert: Minister Marais to open new multipurpose fields in Khayelitsha

Tomorrow, Friday 28 February 2020, Minister Anroux Marais will officially open the new multipurpose fields, funded by the Gary Kirsten Foundation and Multichoice, at Chris Hani Arts and Culture High School in Khayelitsha.

As the Western Cape Government innovatively focusses on increasing safety and creating opportunities for social inclusion, the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport will remain instrumental in creating a province in which all who call it home live healthier lifestyles, in safer environments, more prepared for tomorrow’s economy.

The launch of these significant fields shows in real terms how this can be achieved through collaborative partnerships.
