Cultural Affairs Awards 2013/2014

The Cultural Affairs Awards ceremony was instituted in 1999, and has since been held by our Department as a Ministerial event.

 

Awards have been given to organisations and individuals who have made a profound impact within the Arts, Culture, Language, Heritage, Museums, Geographical Names, Archives and Libraries sectors in the province over the years.
 

This prestigious event is hosted annually by the Minister of the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport. This event has become an opportunity to proudly acknowledge and showcase the diversity of the Western Cape’s arts and culture landscape.
 

The Western Cape Cultural Affairs Awards ceremony promotes social inclusion and provides citizens with a sense of confidence and pride in their historic, cultural and linguistic heritage.
