Women Celebrate Agri-Cultural Heritage in Worcester

11 August 2015

Ladies from various organisations attended a women’s event at Worcester Museum on 10 August 2015. The museum is an agricultural-themed museum based in Worcester.

27 ladies took part in a programme that included a discussion on the difference between baking in the past and currently and was presented by Ms Louise Fouche. The participants got the opportunity to bake their own bread and milk tart using traditional methods passed down from generation to generation. The perfect ending to the day was a train trip and guided tour around the museum.

Ellen Strauss from Worcester Museum said the museum used the chance to give the participants during Women’s month an opportunity to learn more about the history and heritage of the museum.

DCAS appreciates women and acknowledges their contribution in our lives. May women continue to reach their goals and we can continue to build an equal society BETTER TOGETHER.
