Description:

Target audience and range of services include:

    • Shelter that supports women and their children who are survivors of domestic violence
    • Children aged 1 year and older
    • Boys older than 10 years old are not allowed
    • Provide therapeutic services
    • Provide HIV/ Aids counselling & support
    • Provide life skills training and preparation for employment
    • Free service, however if residents have a source of income, contributions are calculated based on a sliding scale
    • Fully equipped child-care facility run by a full- time child-care worker.
    • Access to 2nd stage accommodation available
    • Semi-permanent living for working women and can accommodate 3 families
    • Assists with enrolment of children at local schools
    • Provides assistance with adoptions for single
    • women (only for persons 18 years and older)
