The City has three operational landfill sites. Bellville South landfill site is located in Sacks Circle and facilitates the disposal of general waste which cannot be reused or recycled.

Accepted waste material:

  • Builder's rubble
  • Motor oil
  • Garage waste
  • Clean garden waste
  • Paper and cardboard
  • Tetra pak
  • Cans and metal
  • Glass bottles
  • Plastic
  • Polystyrene

Waste materials not accepted:

  • e-waste

All drop-off facilities will be closed on Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
