Furry friends and humans are invited to strut their stuff along one of the most scenic routes in Cape Town - the Sea Point promenade - in aid of the Mdzananda Animal Clinic in Khayelitsha. Join the Mdzananda Animal Clinic and Vondi's Holistic Pet Nutrition for our annual dog walk fundraiser. The 5 km walk will be from the Mouille Point lighthouse to the Sea Point swimming pool and back. Various shorter turnaround points will be available for old or struggling pets (and humans). Don’t have a dog? No worries, you can still join us for the walk. We also have a couple of dogs for adoption. If you would like to “rent a pet” email us on info@mdzananda.co.za to book one. Dress up like your favourite animal or wear something orange. Coffee, ice cream, raffle prizes and products for sale on the day. “Our 2018 Paws on the Promenade was a great success with an attendance of 300 dogs and 464 humans. On a budget of just R1685 we were able to raise a total of R29 000 in profit.. We hope to raise even more funds with this year’s event, but it all depends on how many wonderful dogs and humans join us this year,” says Marcelle du Plessis, Fundraising and Communications Manager and event organizer.
