In October 2001, the second census in a democratic South Africa took place. The results were released in 2003. The online report includes the census database, key results, age tables, census in brief, key municipal data and a summary report.

This is a summary of the process of establishing community courts in the Western Cape and is based on the information that was received from the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development and National Prosecuting Authority.

Information contained in this report is the result of an exit poll conducted in the Western Cape during November 2001 and aimed at providing management information to the Western Cape Department of Community Safety and the South African Police Service (SAPS). It is the collated responses of 3 339 people interviewed during this period.

The purpose of this report is to present the results of the 2002 exit poll and compare them to the 2001 exit poll where possible as well as to present the results of the new questions that will be used as a benchmark in future exit polls. The poll was conducted after considering various aspects of service delivery, which were included in a questionnaire. The 2002 exit poll questionnaire includes more questions than the previous exit poll but has kept the core questions the same for comparative purposes.

This report gives information about how CMIP funds were planned and distributed for the period April 2003 to June 2003.
