When and Where was the Budget Speech Presented?
The Western Cape Minister of Finance, Alan Winde, delivered his budget speech for the province on Thursday, 1 March 2012, at the Provincial Legislature.

What were Some of the Important Issues Addressed in the Budget Speech?
The budget for 2012/2013 has been aligned to achieving the Provincial Strategic Objectives. An extra R1.097 billion has been allocated for economic growth projects. Health and education will receive two-thirds of the budget, while a strong emphasis has been placed on roads and telecommunications infrastructure to support and help grow the provincial economy.
