Safe and reliable transport will be vital for a successful 2010 World Cup. To ensure that the transport industry benefits, taxi operators have the opportunity to apply for a temporary operating licence (special event - 2010). Guidelines for applying for an operating licence (OL):
  • Operators who already hold an OL or permits for relevant routes or areas do not require the temporary OL and may operate within the authority of their normal OL or permit.
  • Operators who hold an OL or permits for other routes or areas will have to apply for temporary OLs.

Driving school instructors have the important task of training vehicle road users. This is why all instructors must be registered with the provincial Department of Transport and Public Works
