NATURE OF SUPPORT: Financial support 
 
BENEFICIARIES: 400 Exempted Micro Enterprises (established businesses with an annual turnover of less than R 2,5 million in the Tourism Sector and less than R 5 million in other sectors).
 
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project assists businesses with a BEE Certificate. The Department of Economic Development and Tourism will subsidise the cost of a verification certificate for 300 EMEs with R700. 
 
The Department will appoint an accredited verification agency to verify 300 EMEs.
 
The Department will contribute R700 towards the cost of an EME certificate – the balance to be paid by the Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME).
