APPLICATION CRITERIA

• Older than 18 years;
• Must be a South African (Western Cape based business) citizen with a valid Identity Document;
• Non-South Africans must have proof of permanent residence;
• Must be in possession of financial statements/management accounts/business bank account;
• Have sound financial performance over the last year;
  • Must demonstrate viable revenues;
  • Must be in a cash positive position (cash flows are healthy);
  • Must have a healthy balance sheet;

• Must be able to demonstrate what their active marketing activities are – and what has been the achievements of previous activities;
• Must be in possession of a valid Tax Clearance Certificate;
• Must be a registered entity;
• A sole proprietor or partnership must provide a letter from their accountant confirming that the sole proprietor or partnership is complying to general business principles; and
• Government employees are not permitted to enter the competition.
