Assisting Local Library Authorities to Provide Public Library Services

The Western Cape Library Services works with and assists municipalities to provide the public with a comprehensive library service. Library Services supplies library material to more than 300 public libraries; the service points include smaller depots as well as mobile book trolley sites (wheelie wagons). The Library Services has a network of regional offices through which relevant library material is distributed to the libraries. More than 1.2 million people in the Western Cape are registered library members.
