Appraisal of Records

All records classification systems of governmental bodies in the Western Cape have to be appraised to issue disposal authorities for the approval of the transfer of records with enduring value and the destruction of ephemeral records.

Training of Records Managers and Registry Staff

Training courses are conducted for potential, as well as currently employed records managers and registry staff in governmental bodies to ensure implementation and maintenance of sound records management practices.

Records Management Audits

Audits are conducted in governmental bodies to investigate the records and records systems to ensure accountability and transparency.

Electronic Records Management

Approval and audit of electronic records management systems in use in governmental bodies in the Western Cape.
