The centre was started to drive information-focused society projects at a local level. It is also an initiative to create a computer literate society among the disadvantaged, unemployed and disabled members of our community.
Langebaan is one of the fastest growing coastal towns in South Africa. The town is situated approximately 120 km north of Cape Town and 15 km south-east of Saldanha, close to the Langebaan lagoon and in the municipal area of Saldanha. The town is situated within the Hopefield district.
There are many tourist attractions (apart from the lagoon), such as the nearby West Coast National Park, water sports, spring flowers and Club Mykonos (a Greek-style casino and holiday resort).
Langebaan has one government school, Langebaan Primary School, and two private schools, Topolino Primary and Curro.
