The e-centre is based at Saturnus Primary School and offers staff and community training. It also assists the school during school hours with information and communication technology (ICT) training for learners. The teachers use the e-centre for research for school projects.
The Saturnus e-Centre is located in Oudtshoorn, a town in the Western Cape. With 80 336 residents, it is the largest town in the Little Karoo region. The town is home to the world's largest ostrich population, with a number of specialised ostrich breeding farms, such as the Safari Show Farm and the Highgate Ostrich Show Farm. Oudtshoorn is known for the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees, which attracts people from all over the country. The local community is a big part of the success of this festival every year.
