The Bongolethu e-Centre is involved in the following community support projects:
- ICT awareness stalls
These stalls raise awareness of information and communications technology (ICT) and encourage members of the community to register for courses at the e-centre. Once they become members, users are registered on a database and e-centre staff help them set up e-mail accounts. Registration can take place at any time though the year. Previous awareness drives took place in Bongolethu Hall, Smartie Town and Bridgton.
- Matric Support
e-Centre staff assist Grade 12 and pre-matric learners all year round with online applications for bursaries. YouTube videos posted by the Western Cape Education Department are also available to Grade 12 learners.
- Digital Age Kidz
This programme introduces primary school learners to computers and raises awareness around ICT careers through educational computer games. It takes place at the e-centre daily.
