Where to get bursaries
There are a range of bursaries available for young people wanting to study at TVET Colleges or Universities of Technology.
These bursaries are awarded for a range of reasons including academic excellence or a special talent. Bursaries can also be awarded based on other criteria such as a person’s gender, race, religion or financial need.
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) provides financial aid to qualifying students at public TVET colleges and universities.
In particular, the scheme provides bursaries to students studying in technical and vocational fields at public TVET Colleges.
A number of Corporates and other Public Entities also offer a range of bursaries to students studying in specific occupations.
Many of these bursaries are for technical and vocational courses, particularly in the ICT and Engineering fields.
