APPLICATIONS OPEN: After School Arts and Culture Coaching Excellence Award 2020

The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, together with the After School Programme Office, wishes to recognise excellent arts and culture practitioners/ coaches working with learners in After School Programmes at schools, centres and NGOs across the Province.

Closing date for applications: Wednesday, 25th March 2020 at 17:00

This prestigious award will be presented at the annual Provincial Cultural Awards Ceremony. Please do encourage passionate and dedicated arts and culture practitioners to apply and nominate them today!

Application Process:

The application consists of four sections (A-D), and each one must be completed. A separate nomination form must be completed for each nomination.

Criteria:

  1. Learner retention - maintain a cohort of learners attending regularly and consistently with records
  2. Quality programming – provision of a structured programme
  3. Building mastery such as participation in showcases and/or Eisteddfods and/or documented accolades
  4. Stakeholder support - views of principal, manager, parents, learners and any partnerships crowded in with external stakeholders/ organisations
  5. Personal motivation and wider goals of coach – displaying commitment to addressing poverty and the challenges facing Western Cape youth.
