The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, together with the After School Game Changer, wishes to recognise excellent practitioners/ coaches working with learners in after school programmes at schools, centres and NGOs across the province.
In its first year, this prestigious award will be presented at the provincial Cultural Awards ceremony. Please do encourage passionate and dedicated arts and practitioners to apply and nominate them today!

Application Process:The application consists of four sections (A-D), and each one must be completed. A separate nomination form must be completed for each nomination.
Criteria:
Learner retention - maintain a cohort of learners attending regularly and consistently with records
Quality programming – provision of a structured programme
Building mastery such as participation in showcases and/or Eisteddfods and/or documented accolades
Stakeholder support - views of principal, manager, parents, learners and any partnerships crowded in with external stakeholders/ organisations
Personal motivation and wider goals of coach – displaying commitment to addressing poverty and the challenges facing Western Cape youth.
