The annual Eco-Logic awards were hosted at the Table Bay hotel in Cape Town on 21 April 2016 where organisations and individuals, best described as environmental innovators, movers and shakers were recognised for their efforts. The Eco-Logic awards were established in 2011, by The Enviropedia, in partnership with SABC 3. Every year, the public gets to nominate their ‘Eco-Champions’ in the 13 categories. The awards identify individuals, organisations and communities that positively contribute towards a sustainable world – and encourage consumers to purchase their products and services. All finalists are then invited to the Glamorous event and network with other Eco-champions. anytime, anywhere.

Some of the 110% Green flagships received recognition for their outstanding work and impact in the environmental space in the 13 category award event including the Biodiversity Award supported by Nedbank. The Bicycle Empower Network (BEN) South Africa took home a Golden award in the Transport category, while Mellow Cabs got the Silver award in the same category. Other awards include the Bronze award taken by City of Cape Town’s Friends and Neighbours: the other side of the fence in the Municipalities award category; Woolworths also took home the Silver award in the Business Green Economy Initiative category. Congratulations are in order to all the 110% Green flagships and other organisations that were recognised at the event.
