The generation of electricity and heat using waste fruit and pomace to create electricity savings of approximately 30%.. The construction of this anaerobic digestion plant has allowed us to supplement the coal currently used for drying pomace and generating steam thereby reducing the coal and the associated emissions required for drying purposes.
