Sport Legends

(Public Information)
The Western Cape Acknowledges Sport Legends The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS) is proud to acknowledge and honour legends, heroes and icons who have made a significant contribution to the development, transformation and growth of sport in South Africa and, more specifically, in the Western Cape. The Sport Legends Awards was introduced in 2005 and hosted annually until 2018. Sport Legends from previous years are as follows:

Western Cape Nature Reserves

(Service)
CapeNature is a public institution with the statutory responsibility for biodiversity conservation in the Western Cape. It is governed by the Western Cape Nature Conservation Board Act 15 of 1998 and mandated to: promote and ensure nature conservation; render services and provide facilities for research and training; and generate income.

Western Cape Provincial Libraries

(Service)
The Library Service forms an important part of the services offered to the people of the Western Cape. The entire community has the right to free access to library and information services. The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS) seeks to develop, transform and promote sustainable library, information and archives services. Providing information is a key service. The reason for this is that it promotes a culture of reading, library use and learning that enriches the whole community.
