This white paper proposes an Integrated Disability Strategy for South Africa, in order to help recognise the right of people with disabilities to play a full, participatory role in society. The strategy requires integration of disability issues in all government development strategies, planning and programmes, in all three spheres of government. It also requires capacity building and wide public education.

This Paper proposes an environmental management policy that includes recommendation for infrastructure and legislation. The policy aims to ensure that resources are used in a sustainable way and that the impact of development on the environment is carefully managed. The policy proposes that a holistic approach be adopted and that integrated planning, participation and partnership are key factors. It also looks at how to empower and educate communities around environmental issues.
