Application to become an Accredited Provider of Tourism Training and Assessment

The Culture, Art, Tourism, Hospitality, and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority (CATHSSETA) is one of the 21 SETAs established under the Skills Development Act (No 97 of 1998) in 2001. CATHSSETA was formally known as the Tourism and Hospitality Education and Training Authority (THETA).

CATHSSETA offers an accreditation service to certain persons or organisations that offer education, training and/or assessment in the tourism industry. Accredited providers play an important role in tourism, for example, providers of tourism training and assessment are used in the registration process of tourist guides.
