Paarl Hospital: Overview

Paarl Hospital is a referral general specialist hospital for the West Coast and Cape Wineland’s District and a District Hospital for the Drakenstein sub-district. The 331 bed facility caters to the medical needs of a vast geographical area of approximately 22 500 square kilometres and a population of over  900 000.

For the privacy and safety of all patients, we request all visitors to adhere to the following visiting times:

Monday to Friday

• 15:00 - 16:00
• 19:15 - 20:15 

Weekends & public holidays

• 11:00 - 12:00
• 15:00 - 16:00
• 19:15 - 20:15

Please note:

• Visiting hours exclude Emergency Centre & High Care Unit
• Maximum 2 visitors per patient, no swaps allowed
• Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult
• Special arrangements between family and clinical team must be communicated with front desk security
