Celebrate Your Freedom at Plett Rage 2014

Plett Rage and Rage4Good 2014

Let the Countdown Begin!

It's that time of year again – Plett Rage 2014!

Plett Rage is an annual youth festival held in Plettenberg Bay that attracts thousands of youngsters from across South Africa to celebrate the end of high school and their transition into freedom.

Freedom is also the theme of this year's event and was the main driver of the festival's first social development component in 2012, aptly named Rage 4 Good.

The campaign is now a strong and integral component of the Plett Rage festival and exists as a dynamic, multi layered and exciting platform.

It encourages action, a change in attitudes and actions, and ultimately benefits youth in need.

This initiative has been successfully designed, managed and implemented on a collaborative basis, and project managed by Firecracker.

Get Involved in Rage 4 Good and Win

You can celebrate your freedom and passion by giving back to the local community during one of these four official 2014 campaigns:

  • Come and support the youth in the local community at a boxing tournament in Qolweni on Saturday 29 November from 08:00-16:00.

  • Buy official Rage merchandise, produced by women from Plettenberg Bay or get your hair braided on Central Beach from Monday 1 December to Thursday 4 December, from 10:00-16:00.

Take a pic of yourself doing so, post it on our Facebook page #myrage and stand a chance to win awesome Plett Rage hampers.

  • Make sure you protect the local environment by recycling!

Four recycling bins will be placed close to Central Beach from Monday 1 December to Thursday 4 December, from 10:00-16:00. Matriculants who drop off recycling can post a status on the Plett Rage Facebook page and tag themselves. They can then report to the Rage 4 Good station on Central beach to collect a spot prize from the R4G Ambassadors.

  • Social Media Campaign: crowdfunding

Follow the link on the Rage 4 Good Facebook page to pledge R20 to Rage 4 Good’s sole charity beneficiary, Bitou 10 Foundation.

If you make a pledge, post a pic of yourself after doing so and tell us why you are passionate about Rage 4 Good.

Remember to tag yourself in the pic, and to include the #myrage hashtag so that the organisers can track who has entered the competition. You could win an awesome prize.

Become an Ambassador

Rage 4 Good is looking for Rage Ambassadors to help sell Rage 4 Good merchandise on the beach and lend a hand at the boxing tournament.

The ambassadors will receive awesome goodie bags from Lipton and Adidas. They could also win a VIP experience for themselves and a friend at VIP nightclub.
