Minister Plato takes safety oversight and youth safety outreach to Clanwilliam

Tomorrow, Tuesday 21 June 2016, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, Dan Plato, together with officials from the Department of Community Safety, will conduct various safety oversight and outreach activities in Clanwilliam.

The Departmental outreach engagements form part ongoing outreach and oversight events across the province and will see Minister Plato conduct an official oversight visit to the Clanwilliam police station in the morning.

Thereafter, Minister Plato and departmental officials will engage with the youth, and those working with youth, in Clanwilliam to provide more information on the various opportunities to partner with the Department of Community Safety.

The greater Clanwilliam community have the opportunity tomorrow to learn more about the opportunities available to them as well as the relevant requirements to communities, non-governmental organisations and the religious fraternity operating in the area on how to successfully partner with the Department of Community Safety. The programmes including the Chrysalis Academy and the Northlink Bursary Partnership.

There will be an opportunity for photographs and interviews.
