Description:

The Chrysalis Academy is an initiative started by the Western Cape Government to provide a social crime prevention and upliftment programme for the youth at risk. The academy focuses on the individual's physical, psychological and spiritual development, resulting in realistic and sustainable results. Chrysalis isn't a rehabilitation programme, rather a preventative initiative.

Selection criteria

Successful applicants will be invited for an interview and will undergo a basic medical and physical assessment for the final selection.

Trainees must:

  • Be between 18-25 years
  • Have passed Grade 9
  • Have a clean criminal record
  • Be unemployed

Course duration

Chrysalis offers a sustainable 5-year youth development program based on a 3-months empowerment training.
