In Service Training: Engineering, Architecture and Related Fields
DESCRIPTION:
This programme aims to provide opportunities to tertiary students to complete their in-service training with the provincial government.

This opportunity is available to students studying:

  • architecture
  • civil engineering
  • structural engineering
  • electrical engineering
  • m
  • echanical engineering
  • con
  • struction & property management
  • to
  • wn planning
  • land surveying
  • horticulture
  • quantity surveying.

Selections are based on:

  • academic performance
  • valid code 8 driver's licence
  • S2 academic level
  • no previous in-service training.
The placement of students is for a period of eleven months with a set monthly allowance finalised before the internship starts. Students are initially engaged in an induction process of two weeks after which they are placed with a supervisor on site, or in the different components within the Department.
INSTRUCTIONS:
To apply for this in-service training, you should submit your CV and certified copies of your identity document, full academic record and valid drivers licence to the co-operative education unit of the Technikon or University you are currently registered with.
