Training of Sport Leaders
DESCRIPTION:
 The Department provides regular sport leadership courses throughout the year. These are offered to sport federations and communities, focusing on disadvantaged communities, rural areas and women. Sport development is promoted by the hosting of courses which aim to increase the number of trained sport leaders. The courses are aimed at:
  • strengthening management of sport clubs and federations
  • enabling communities to host and run sport and recreation events
  • improving the quality of service in community events
  • increasing the number of events in rural areas.
